What Gas Appliances Do We Hook Up?

Depending on the installation, we can provide gas hookups for:

  • Gas ranges and stoves
  • Gas dryers
  • BBQs and outdoor gas appliances
  • Gas fireplaces
  • Garage heaters
  • Other approved natural gas or propane appliances

If you're unsure whether we can connect your particular appliance, send us the make, model and a few photos of the existing gas connection.

Our Gas Appliance Hookup Process

1. Inspect the Existing Gas Connection

Before connecting the appliance, we inspect the existing gas supply and connection point.

We need to make sure the existing setup is appropriate for the appliance being installed and determine whether additional work will be required.

2. Connect the Gas Appliance

If the existing gas supply is suitable, we make the required connection using the appropriate approved fittings and materials for the installation.

The amount of work required can vary considerably.

Connecting a new gas range to an existing properly located gas connection is very different from an installation that requires new gas piping or modifications to the existing system.

3. Test for Gas Leaks

Once the connection is completed, the work is checked for gas leakage before the appliance is placed into normal operation.

This is an important part of any gas appliance hookup and isn't something we skip simply because an existing gas line was already present.

4. Test the Appliance

Where applicable, we operate the appliance after the connection is complete and check its basic operation.

If we find an issue with the appliance itself or the existing installation, we'll explain what we found.

Do You Install New Gas Lines?

A gas hookup and a new gas-line installation aren't necessarily the same job.

If you already have a properly sized gas connection at the appliance location, the job may be relatively straightforward.

If there is no existing gas line, or the existing piping needs to be extended, relocated or modified, additional work will be required.

Send us some information about the installation and we can determine what is involved before scheduling the work.

Gas Stove & Range Hookups

One of the most common calls we receive is for a gas stove or range hookup.

If you've purchased a new natural gas or propane range and already have a gas supply behind the appliance, we can inspect the existing connection, connect the new range, test the connection for leaks and check the appliance's basic operation.

If you're replacing an existing gas stove, let us know when contacting us.
